The overall focus the Aboriginal Workforce Strategy is to build a strong link between the North
Eastman Health Association and the Aboriginal community. The Aboriginal Workforce Strategy
is working with a number of groups to address various issues related to Aboriginal employment,
recruitment and retention. Our objective is to create partnerships with a variety of internal
and external sectors including but not exclusive to:
- Agencies and organizations that target services to the Aboriginal community
- Surrounding Aboriginal communities
- Sites and programs internal to the North Eastman Health Association
- Educational programs and institutions
- Government Departments
- Unions
